Airway Management Education Center, LLC (AMEC) is a privately held medical education company founded by Ron M. Walls MD, Michael F. Murphy MD, Robert C. Luten MD and Robert Schneider MD in 1998. AMEC’s primary mission is to save lives by improving patient airway care through education. The Difficult Airway Course™, AMEC’s internationally renowned family of CME programs, offers versions for a variety of specialties.  All AMEC programs are currently led by Calvin Brown III MD, Adam Law MD, Robert Luten MD, Jarrod Mosier MD, David Caro MD and Leslie Simon DO.

First Airway, LLC is a privately held medical education company founded in 2007 to bring greater focus to airway education for EMS providers. First Airway’s primary mission is to save lives by improving pre-hospital airway care through education.  All EMS programs – including The Difficult Airway Course: EMS™, Essentials of Advanced Airway Management™, and Fundamentals of Airway Management™ – are directed by Darren Braude, MD, EMT-P (left) and Mike Steuerwald, MD (right).
